Welcome to Bar W Acres! We are a small Alberta family farm focused on the breeding & sales of that ALL-round paint horse. Halter horse looks, athletic ability, sound mind & conformation.

We are focusing our breeding to produce horses like some of our Foundation greats of the AQHA & APHA industry. Our stock carry many of those Versatile foundation lines:

Skipper W, Windchester, Boston Mac, Tinky Spook, Versary Bars, Mardell Dixon, Gay Bar King, Magnolia Bar, Three Bars, Mr Diamond Dude, Peppy San, Sierra Supreme, Coys Bonanza & Impressive.

A Tribute

The dream all started with one. "Kay," my 1978 AQHA youth show mare still resides with us and will always hold a special place in my heart. We have grown up together, and together, we have followed our dreams. Meet Kay on the Mares page. Now retired, Kay maintains the "Boss" title in the herd, and a well earned title at that. She was my first horse and the mother of our first paint baby!!
